NEW YORK, NY – Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP is pleased to announce the addition of five new partners -- Lawrence Feibel and Steven Kahn, newcomers to the Firm, and Laurie Fasinski, Paul Gevertzman, and Jeffery Perelman, who were promoted from director to partner -- as of November 1, 2008. With these promotions, Anchin has a roster of 54 partners who provide creative, pro-active advisory services to clients representing all of the major industries represented in the Tri-state area.
Laurence Feibel is a tax partner at Anchin specializing in all aspects of international taxation across a wide variety of industries. He has more than 25 years of experience in providing cross-border tax planning and consulting services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts. Prior to joining Anchin, Mr. Feibel served as the chief international tax advisor at large regional accounting firms, where he advised some of the world’s wealthiest multinational families and their business interests. Feibel and his family are residents of Centerport, Long Island.
Steven Kahn joins Anchin’s Real Estate Services Team as an audit partner with almost 15 years of dedicated and diverse experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Anchin, he was a partner at one of the nation’s largest national real estate and consulting firms. Steven has provided assurance and advisory services to a wide range of privately and publicly-held companies in the real estate industry, including investment funds, pension fund advisors, real estate investment trusts, opportunity funds, partnerships, and limited liability companies. He and his family are residents of Woodmere.
Laurie Fasinski, a resident of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, has been named a principal in Anchin’s Business Management Services Department. In her 25-year career, Laurie has managed the sophisticated financial affairs of ultra-high net worth individuals, including key corporate executives and some of the most prominent actors, authors, directors, models and producers in the entertainment industry. Prior to joining the Business Management team, Laurie spent 16 years as an auditor.
A tax partner at Anchin, Paul Gevertzman’s practice focuses on all types of clients including many hedge funds, investment partnerships and construction companies. Paul has extensive tax and business experience with corporations, individuals, and partnerships. He assists companies within designated Empire Zones to reap benefits such as tax reduction credits, real property tax credits, sales tax exemptions, wage tax credits, and utility rate reductions, minimizing or often eliminating a company's New York State Tax liability. In addition to the CPA designation, Paul also holds the J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. He and his family reside in Brooklyn.
Jeffrey Perelman is a tax partner at Anchin. He is a member of the firm’s Tax, Wealth Management, Nonprofit Organizations, and Estates & Trusts practice groups. His clients include well-known business, media and technology company executives, entrepreneurs, investors and entertainers. On many occasions, Jeffrey’s clients have sought his guidance on personal tax planning matters related to luxury items such as yachts, aircraft, automobiles, and artwork. An expert in the field of philanthropy, Jeffrey works extensively with individuals and family offices to develop and implement sophisticated charitable-giving strategies. A resident of Manhattan, Jeffrey speaks fluent Russian.
